Purpose of the role: 
As an HR Generalist, the primary objective of this role is to offer HR guidance and operational assistance to both managers and employees within the Trivium Packaging Business Service Center (BSC). You will provide advisory support to BSC management teams within your designated areas of responsibility, addressing HR matters at both tactical and operational levels, in close collaboration with HR Business Partner support. Additionally, you will maintain regular communication with functional leads, employees, and other HR departments, including Compensation & Benefits. Representing the BSC in all Trivium HR forums, you will also oversee various HR operational tasks such as liaising with line managers to address employee inquiries, providing support for operational payroll and benefits, and managing entry documentation, changes, and departures within the local HR systems, all while coordinating with third-party providers for payroll and benefits administration.


Your Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the primary contact point for BSC management within your area, addressing all inquiries related to personnel matters. This encompasses various aspects such as the performance management cycle, talent reviews, annual salary reviews, promotions, and terminations. Additionally, provide support to BSC management in cultivating high-performing teams through training sessions and team-building activities.
  • Manage third-party payroll services for BSC employees, ensuring timely and compliant payments in accordance with legal requirements and time and attendance data. This includes overseeing benefits, tax deductions, and other related inputs.
  • Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, including handling changes and exit management procedures. Stay informed about legal requirements and global HR systems and solutions at Trivium to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Facilitate and manage the induction training process for new employees and managers within the BSC.
  • Support management in various aspects of development, including performance management cycles, talent development, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and other related activities.
  • Provide operational and tactical advice on HR and legal matters, as well as daily HR support and communication. Offer guidance to HRBP Group Functions, the Head of BSC, and the Leadership Team on core HR issues, working closely with regional HR partners and Compensation & Benefits teams.
  • Generate reports to support business decisions based on data analysis.
  • Develop and deliver effective communication materials as needed to convey important information to employees and stakeholders.

Requirements: 

  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on HR generalist functions.
  • Previous experience in an SSC environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in English and Hungarian is required.
  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws, payroll regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret HR data and metrics.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • A customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering high-quality HR services and solutions.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and other HR technology platforms is a plus.
