Actuarial Analyst

Are you looking for an opportunity to put your analytical skills to use by working on challenging real world business problems? Would you like to belong to a collaborative and knowledgeable actuarial team? Pension and other retirement plans have enormous financial implications for companies in Western Europe. At our office in Budapest, 70 young Actuarial Analysts work together in an international environment to support our clients with assessing the short and long-term costs associated with pension plan commitments.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Budapest office.

What the day will look like
  • Supporting your fellow actuarial colleagues abroad by calculating pension plan liabilities and reporting results according to the clients' needs. You will be dedicated to a country specific market within a small team.
  • Analyzing, arranging and preparing databases in Excel
  • Performing data tests and implementing occupational plans in our valuation software
  • Checking, analyzing, explaining and reporting results according to national and international accounting standards (IFRS, ASC715, US GAAP, German GAAP etc)
  • Besides the analysis, you will have the chance to participate in other projects (e.g.: data migrations between valuation systems, tool development, training activities, mentoring)

How this opportunity is different

Aon is proud to support the employees with home office, flexible working schedule and global wellbeing holidays. As a member of an open-minded and welcoming team you can participate in various team-buildings events. You will be supported and encouraged to progress in your career, according to your needs. New challenges will await you day by day not only at your core analytical job but beyond. You will never be bored with the variety of work here.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • University degree in Actuarial Studies, Financial Mathematics, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Economics, Finance or any other relevant analytical field
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong analytical and good Excel skills
  • Attention to details and ability to analyze data and check its accuracy
  • Intellectual curiosity, optimism and can-do attitude
  • Desire to learn and develop your skills
