What is the job about?

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee projects across diverse domains within Group Purchasing, ensuring that the global organization operates with state-of-the-art tools and processes. Your role encompasses end-to-end responsibility for assigned projects, demanding timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.


Your main responsibilities:

  • Continuously benchmark stakeholder needs in digitalization, conducting ongoing assessments of existing solutions.
  • Take charge of shaping and developing the Purchasing Digitalization Roadmap, steering the strategic direction of our digital initiatives.
  • Establish key milestones, closely monitor progress, allocate resources, and assign tasks to ensure the timely achievement of targets.
  • Facilitate and coordinate a transparent agreement with the Project Board/Key stakeholders, outlining project objectives such as Benefits, Cost, Quality, Risk, Scope, and Time. 
  • Act as the liaison between IT and Purchasing teams, driving the implementation of cross-functional projects. 
  • Identify, resolve, or escalate operational issues to prevent delays. 
  • Collaborate with functional teams to identify business needs and align them with strategic goals, developing a pipeline of project opportunities. 
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including dependencies, resource plans, schedules, and deadlines for the entire project lifecycle. 
  • Lead the execution of complex, cross-functional projects, even with virtual teams, to support the prioritized project portfolio. Manage multiple projects concurrently. 
  • Establish transparent project communication and reporting regularly across multiple layers of management, project stakeholders, and resources to ensure clear alignment on project status. 
  • Actively evaluate risks and issues, ensuring their identification and mitigation. 
  • Maximize value delivery by clearly defining, tracking, and ensuring the continued realization of project benefits in close collaboration with business-as-usual teams.

 

Your background 

We imangine that you have: 

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience at a regional or global level 
  • MSc in Business Administration, Supply Chain or relevant field
  • Proficient in advanced project management methodologies, with preference given to Prince II certification. 
  • Extensive knowledge of Lean or Agile working methods is advantageous. 
  • Demonstrates a profound understanding of SAP, Ariba, and other Sourcing systems.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in implementing purchasing systems, with a preference for expertise in Ariba Supplier Portal solutions.
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills
  • Expertise in using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Highly responsive to changing environments.
  • Outstanding proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is considered an asset.
