Software Development Team Leader

Lead a team of 20 software developers, test engineers, architects, and supporters in the Hungarian development center of Thyssenkrupp, a global industrial and technology company.
Thyssenkrupp is a leading international company with 100,000 employees across 48 countries, generating €38 billion in sales in fiscal 2022/2023. The company develops innovative solutions for climate protection, energy transition, digital transformation, and mobility of the future.
The Hungarian development center is a significant partner in the automotive industry, specializing in electromechanical steering systems. Our engineers work on new challenges that can change the future of automotive.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and inspire a team of software developers, test engineers, architects, and supporters.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Build up effective and state-of-the-art organization within your team.
- Oversee the end-to-end life-cycle of business applications for internal company usage.
- Collaborate with functional business areas to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
- Establish strong relationships with stakeholders in functional areas and production plants.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, facilitating effective communication.
- Implement robust testing processes to ensure the reliability and quality of the application.
- Develop and enforce coding standards and best practices.
- Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of existing applications.
- Stay abreast of IT industry trends and advancements in technology.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading and managing software development teams.
- Strong people management skills and experience.
- Experience with production companies is an advantage.
- Strong technical background, with expertise in cloud technologies, React, Java, NodeTS, microservices, and Cloud Foundry an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
