As a Transport specialist, at BMW Group Plant Debrecen you're a crucial part of our vision to revolutionize the way we think about cars.

As a member of our Transport specialist team at BMW Group Plant Debrecen you will be responsible for managing the transport management process to Plant Debrecen and ensure continuous production.

What awaits you?

• Transport specialist is responsible for transport steering function at plant Debrecen (and resolution of conflicting goals in the event of qualitative and quantitative deviations).
• Ensure the interface to logistics planning, QMT, LQS, physical logistics, purchasing and development; working in project teams on the company's logistics and product projects to optimize the entire logistics process chain.
• Cooperate with the process partners for an optimization process to improve efficiency and cost as a part of continuous improvement.
• Core responsible as an onsite support for all transport steering process including emergency transports and problem-solving processes at plant Debrecen.
• Supporting supplier escalation and root-cause analysis from logistics point of view as a participant in problem-solving process, in cooperation with purchasing and quality assurance.
• Together with central function you plan transport costs and carry out variance analysis between planned & actual costs and target, at reporting dates (e.g. LUP, forecast & monthly financial statements) you support the department in preparing management reports
• The continuous design and improvement of new & existing processes in the business management of transport costs

What you should bring along?

• Completed university / professional qualification preferably with a logistics background of minimum one year experience in logistics and controlling or a comparable qualification.
• Experience in transport logistics, supply and/or logistical process planning is recommended
• Minimum two year experience in logistics planning or operation or packaging technology in automotive production sectors in general.
• Flexibility with high level of motivation, autonomous working style and advanced project management skills; strong skills especially in analyzing, structuring, prioritizing, communicating, and visualizing.
• Ability to interact with other cultures and to work in inter-disciplinary and international teams.
• Willingness to travel, national/international.
• Ability to work under time pressure, being able to solve problems independently, precise, structured, analytical working style.
• Fluent English and Hungarian is a must, German language would be an advantage.
