EHS Officer
Join our team at ZF Chassis Modules Hungary Kft. as an EHS Officer and contribute to a more efficient and greener tomorrow.
About the role:
- Develop and implement Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs and policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Guarantee compliance with EHS standards and regulations, and design a safety management system to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Advise and assist department managers/supervisors with EHS training and track completion to ensure a culture of safety.
- Develop strategies to identify accident trends and initiate new programs to reduce claims and improve overall safety performance.
- Guarantee compliance with environmental permit requirements and provide guidance on the impact of environmental regulations on production plans.
- Schedule and conduct regular risk and safety audits, meetings, and inspections to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Prepare and submit required reports to state authorities and the company, and serve as the primary contact for EHS-related matters.
- Elaborate and provide training for new employees to ensure they understand EHS policies and procedures.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field and authority-approved training in safety, work protection, and environmental science.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the health and safety field in industrial multinational environments.
- Basic experience with facility environmental compliance issues and strong knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health standards for Industry and/or Construction standards.
- Proven ability to provide detailed regulatory interpretation of national regulations and experience in maintaining corporate management standards.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision, and strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Category B driving license with regular driving routine and willingness to travel between sites.
