VAT Expert

Our American multinational partner is a looking for a VAT Expert colleague for their team.The ideal candidate should have minimum 5 years of VAT compliance experience, and fluent English knowledge.Your tasks will be as a VAT Expert:Review VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, and reconciliations prepared by the VAT team, and prepare these deliverables.Supervise the work of 1 colleague.Support the transition/migration of VAT compliance from local sites to the VAT team and contribute to the team's expansion.Communicate with regional controllers and local businesses regarding VAT queries and developments.Mentor and supervise team members to ensure their ongoing professional development.Support the implementation of tax technology tools, with a focus on VAT compliance tools, ERP implementations (especially SAP S4), and manage changes related to these tools and ERPs (including various versions of Oracle and SAP).Collaborate closely with various teams to support the execution of projects from a VAT perspective.Assist the VAT manager with in-house VAT advisory activities, such as contract reviews, investigating and analyzing transactional background information for VAT treatment assessments, and maintaining contact with external advisors.Benefits:Competitive salary, compensation, and benefits package (cafeteria, yearly bonus, health insurance)Home office opportunity (3 days/week)Various professional and personal growth opportunitiesFriendly multicultural environment and team eventsRequirements:Minimum 5 years of relevant experience at a BSC/SSCCollege/university degree in finance/accountingExperience with ERPs and preferably with tax technology toolsFluent in English both in writing and verbally, German language skills are a plusYou have a strong ability to gather, organize and analyze dataContinuous improvement mindset, able to flexibly cope with process changes
