Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Structural Analysis

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in structural analysis to join our team at Flowserve. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for performing structural and rotor dynamic analysis on our products, including pumps, valves, and seals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural and vibration engineering analyses on products to ensure design adequacy
  • Execute the impact of design modifications on structural design
  • Define critical dimensions of products and components
  • Execute different types of mechanical analysis and reporting
  • Perform structural and thermal analysis of pressure vessels and rotating equipment
  • Carry out finite element analysis (FEA) of machine components and sub-assemblies
  • Review and evaluate customer specifications and supplier quotations
  • Assess FEA results against customer specifications and industry standards
  • Submittal of high-quality contractual documentation
  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and perform structural engineering activities
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 7 or more years of experience in applied structural mechanical analysis, specifically rotating equipment
  • Background working within a customer-oriented working environment
  • Knowledge of complex pump/seal/valve design, hydraulic drawings
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Extended knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, 3D modeling software, finite element analysis packages, and ERP systems
