Job Title: Finance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Specialist to join our team at GE Aviation in Budapest. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • General accounting and policy application, including supporting the wider team through the finance period close cycles, adhering to agreed deadlines.
  • Preparing and posting journal entries, account balance reconciliations, preparing reports and analysis, balance sheet commentary, and assisting the team manager on any other ad-hoc requirements.
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of the processes assigned, which could include payroll, cash and bank, revenue recognition, receivables/payables, intercompany, etc. Understanding and interpreting applicable Enterprise Standards, SOP, and Process Maps to deliver globally competitive financial process/accounting services.
  • This role would provide an opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge of the ERP systems and other various IT applications used internally by the accounting function.
  • Communication with direct colleagues and business stakeholders to effectively meet the goals and objectives set for the role.
  • Impacting projects, processes, and procedures in own field. The role operates with some autonomy, but is focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.
  • Utilizing technical expertise and judgment to solve problems. Leveraging technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.
Requirements
  • This role requires basic experience in Finance and Accounting Operations, such as reconciliations, project accounting, and balance sheets.
  • A Bachelor's degree is desirable, but relevant experience will also be considered.
