Cosma Assembly Technology (CAT), a division of Magna International, is a global leader in automotive manufacturing. As an Automotive Process Optimization Expert, you will be part of a team that helps customers achieve world-class manufacturing by designing and validating automotive assembly processes and concepts.


In this role, you will work with 3D process design & simulation, 3D ergonomics analysis, off-line programming, discrete event simulation, and the continuous improvement of existing assembly applications. Your focus will be on building static and dynamic simulation models, making technical assumptions, collecting data, and managing project data and meta-data.


You will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including fleet estimation, congestion analysis, and layout optimization. Your strong knowledge and practical experience in manufacturing operation patterns, SIMIO, and Operational Equipment Efficiency (OEE) concepts will be valuable assets in this role.


You will be part of a dynamic team that values flexibility, willingness to travel, and a commitment to safety and confidentiality. You will work in an office environment with occasional exposure to manufacturing environments.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize material flow processes using simulation models
  • Make informed technical decisions to improve manufacturing efficiency
  • Collect and analyze data to build, calibrate, and validate simulation models
  • Manage project data and meta-data, including procurement and logging
  • Maintain awareness of work-related timelines, scope, and quality requirements
  • Create modeling libraries for efficient simulation
