AI Engineer for Emerging Technologies

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join our team at SNI, specializing in emerging technologies. This role will focus on creating rapid proofs of concept to test hypotheses about how emerging technologies can be applied to business use cases.

As an AI Engineer, you will work at the forefront of Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Internet of Things, Robotics, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. Your primary responsibility will be to generate prototypes, demos, and learnings that our teams and clients can use when deciding how to apply and invest in emerging technologies.

Requirements
  • Strong expertise in Python, with a focus on FastAPI, Pandas, and NumPy.
  • Experience with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Prompt Engineering.
  • Knowledge of vector databases and embedding models.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and LlamaIndex.
  • Experience with multi-agent libraries/frameworks like CrewAI, Autogen, and Taskweave.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Functions.
  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms and their AI services is a plus, but Azure experience is mandatory.
  • Understanding of data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, data integration, and data warehousing.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and perform data cleaning, transformation, and manipulation.
  • Experience with version control, small and regular commits, unit tests, CI/CD, packaging, and Docker.
  • .NET technology stack proficiency incl. C# is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AI ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible AI practices is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills. Good communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders are essential.

This role will be supporting the development of assets (e.g., plugins) to further drive our overall AI strategy across the firm. In addition to that, we have ongoing AI R&D initiatives that we'd look to leverage some of these roles to help us continue driving the initiatives.
