Job Summary:
">The Project Engineer, part of the Flowserve Seal System Engineering team, plays a crucial role in designing and manufacturing pump and compressor seal systems. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities:
">- Customer Specifications Review: Review and summarize customer specifications to create a clear understanding of project requirements.
- Instrument Selection and Design: Select instruments and determine initial design of the system, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality documents.
- Design Team Guidance: Instruct and guide the design team in producing drawings, BOMs, and supporting documents for manufacturing, testing, installation, and operation of mechanical seal systems.
- Design Creation: Occasionally create designs, drawings, and other documents using Inventor, taking ownership of engineering activities.
- Technical Coordination: Coordinate technical project aspects, including interface between seal and system engineering, and determine cost and delivery impact of changes to the scope of supply.
- Quality Assurance: Handle QA requirements for orders, quality plans, and support inspection for orders and components, while also providing technical support to Sales.
- Kick-off, Hazop, and Clarification Meetings: Participate in kick-off, Hazop, and clarification meetings to ensure smooth project execution.
Your Profile:
">- Degree and Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, with 7 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas industry, project engineering, 3D design, hydraulic engineering, pressure vessels, instrumentation, and interpreting customer specifications.
- Technical Skills: Experience in Inventor or Solid works is preferred, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills.
- Soft Skills: Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to focus on long-term goals and identify deliverables aligned with business objectives.
- Communication: Good communication skills with Customers, Sales, Operations, and Engineering, with well-spoken and written English.
- Adaptability: Flexible concerning working hours and willing to travel for planned visits or to overcome unexpected issues (10-15%).
- Teamwork: Reliable, meets deadlines, and is an excellent teammate.
- Technical Mindset: Strong technical mindset and able to read and interpret technical data and translate to others.
