The RoleTalent Sourcers play a key role in our clients' success by partnering with Hiring Managers and Recruiters and developing effective, consultative, professional relationships with them. Through asking the right questions to ensure a detailed understanding of the client and each role, and by leveraging data, historic hiring trends, and market analysis, Talent Sourcers develop bespoke sourcing strategies and then use a range of tools and techniques to find the best talent in the market.
Talent Sourcers are brand ambassadors for our clients, bringing each opportunity to life with candidates in a compelling and authentic way to ensure they are qualified, interested, and engaged before being presented to the Hiring Manager. A Principal Sourcing Specialist is a true subject matter expert in recruitment and sourcing and will confidently partner with senior stakeholders to understand even the most complex hiring needs, developing sourcing strategies which focus on finding and engaging passive talent across specialist disciplines.
Key Accountabilities- Partner with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to deliver excellent candidate and client experiences.
- Lead recruitment discussions as a thought leader, expertly developing sourcing strategies that deliver top talent.
- Utilize talent intelligence to develop effective strategies and proactively influence stakeholders and hiring outcomes.
- Confidently advise stakeholders, leveraging your expertise and the wider AMS network to propose solutions for complex or niche hiring challenges.
- Deliver high-quality, engaged, and diverse shortlists with accurate information; act as a Trusted Advisor by making clear recommendations and speculatively introducing high-potential candidates.
- Share candidate feedback and insights with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to advocate for solutions and adapt the recruitment strategy (e.g., changing location or talent pools).
- Support, coach, and mentor junior colleagues, leading problem-solving discussions.
- Attract and Engage High-Calibre Talent by demonstrating innovative, critical thinking and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Review and post compelling job adverts that amplify the client brand, succeeding even in low-applicant funnels.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies using the right channels (e.g., LinkedIn) and adopting a 'search' mentality for hard-to-fill and niche roles.
- Utilize data to measure success, review, refine, innovate, and communicate the value of sourcing.
- Engage with the target audience professionally and authentically across all channels, regularly headhunting niche talent.
- Conduct high-quality, consultative conversations to qualify candidates, including regular engagement with passive talent.
- Gather deep insights into candidate skills, aspirations, and motivations to inform selection decisions.
- Support candidates through the process and talent pool them to build lasting relationships for future needs.
- Present candidates compellingly, championing diverse pools of talent and bias-free selection processes.
- Track all progress, data, and performance on applicable systems.
- Champion the Candidate Experience through honest career discussions that excite candidates about the client's brand.
- Demonstrate commitment to candidates by keeping them informed and following up when necessary.
- Build lasting candidate relationships that turn them into client advocates, regardless of the hiring outcome.
- Enable Success in Others by acting as the SME point of contact and playing an instrumental role in mentoring and contributing to team strategy.
You'll need to demonstrate:
Must haves:
- Expert/ principal level experience in talent sourcing strategy and execution
- Proven ability to passively source niche and hard-to-fill specialist talent
- Strong experience using talent intelligence and data to influence hiring strategy
- Exceptional stakeholder management and advisory skills
- Trusted Advisor capability with a focus on delivering diverse and high-quality shortlists
- Ability to lead recruitment discussions and act as a subject matter expert (SME)
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and guiding junior team members
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering an outstanding candidate experience
- High-level consultative communication and relationship-building skills
- Innovative, critical thinking mindset for market analysis and problem-solving
Nice to have:
