We are seeking a skilled Chief Accountant to take technical lead of all accounting and reporting activities. In this role, you will ensure full compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies, while coordinating financial closings, audits, and statutory reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Professional supervision of the accounting team
  • Ensuring compliance of bookkeeping with relevant laws and regulations
  • Coordinating the annual financial closing and liaising with external auditors
  • Preparing the annual financial statements
  • Monitoring changes in accounting and taxation legislation
  • Preparing and submitting tax returns and fulfilling tax obligations
  • Completing mandatory reports for authorities
  • Preparing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
  • Supporting audits and inspections conducted by authorities
  • Providing support to other departments in accounting and taxation matters
  • Participating in projects related to finance and accounting
  • Improving the efficiency of bookkeeping and related processes
  • Performing other tasks delegated by the direct supervisor
  • Ensuring the company's bookkeeping is compliant with all legal requirements
  • Providing operational and professional oversight of the accounting team

Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance and/or Accounting
  • Tax advisor qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong accounting background
  • Commitment to continuous professional and personal development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Precision and analytical thinking
  • A cooperative approach towards all departments
  • A positive attitude and constructive conflict management
  • English language skills – at least upper-intermediate (B2) level
