UX Researcher (Junior–Mid Level)

Location: Remote from Hungary (Budapest-based technology firm) Schedule: US timezones

About the Role

We're looking for a UX Researcher (3–5 years experience) with a background in the banking/financial sector to join our technology team. You'll design and run research that ensures our products are intuitive, accessible, and trusted by users across Retail, MSME, and Corporate segments.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct user research (interviews, surveys, usability testing) to uncover actionable insights.
  • Test all communication experiences—notifications, banners, emails, and nudges—to confirm they are understandable, effective, and do not create frustration or fatigue.
  • Run comprehension, tone, accessibility, and behavioral tests across multiple customer segments.
  • Present findings clearly in English to guide product and design decisions.
  • Ensure decisions are evidence-based, reducing risks of poor adoption, misinterpretation, or harm.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of UX research experience in banking/financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Ability to work remotely from Hungary on US timezones.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with accessibility standards.
  • Familiarity with agile product development.
