About the Role

This is a full-time on-site role for a
Head of Operations
located in Budapest, Hungary, at
Pay10 EU
.

The Head of Operations will be responsible developing and executing Pay10 EU Operations framework, ensuring efficiency and compliance with Hungarian National Banks requirements and supervisory expectations. The role requires leadership across business support, team management, stakeholder management, operations centre, and payment domain expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements
  • Establish and lead an Operations Centre providing 24/7 support to merchants and consumers.
  • Design and execute processes to ensure seamless transaction flows, fund movement, reconciliation, and settlement.
  • Lead the setup and enhancement of operational processes for new product launches and additional services.
  • Establish best practices that enhance internal efficiency and elevate customer experience.

Team Management

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing operations team.
  • Optimize operational policies, ensuring scalable and efficient service delivery.
  • Define, track, and report on KPIs to ensure adherence to SLAs, compliance, and service quality standards.
  • Manage resource allocation to achieve operational excellence and cost efficiency.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (Sales, Product, Technology, Compliance) and external partners to maintain operational excellence.

Payment Domain Expertise

  • Ensure compliance with Hungarian National Bank regulations and local financial guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of
    5
    -
    10 years of experience
    in
    operations
    within the
    payments, fintech, or banking
    sector.
  • Strong knowledge of payment systems, merchant acquiring, and digital wallet operations.
  • Proven track record in managing fund flows, settlements, and reconciliations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead operations teams and establish new market setups.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership capabilities.
  • Familiarity with
    Hungary's financial services regulatory environment
    and compliance requirements.
