Software Engineer – Monitoring Tool DevOps

Role Purpose

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the environments monitoring the infrastructure of our customers. You will also have to develop, design, automate new monitors and integrate them with other systems like CMDB or auto-ticketing. You will also manage and design Splunk dashboards and create custom scripts to extract data and integrate them with Splunk.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities


• Deploy, maintain, and manage both monitoring applications and systems.


• Develop and improve custom monitors/scripts.


• Contribute to automation projects.


• Monitor and analyze security events using Splunk.


• Create and maintain Splunk dashboards, reports, and alerts.

Required Technical Skills and Experience


• 2+ years of experience in a similar position


• Good knowledge of scripting: Bash, Python or Perl (PowerShell is a plus).


• Knowledge of Splunk


• Good background in Linux administration.


• Solid understanding of ITIL including Incident/Problem/Change Process.


• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).


• Knowledge of Monitoring Systems: Xymon, Nagios or others


• Experience with data collection applications/platforms.


• Knowledge of Automation: Ansible, Git, Puppet.


• German is a plus

• Splunk certification is a plus
