You will join the product management team driving the next generation of Cloudera's Data Governance and Lineage solutions, a cornerstone of the Unified Data Fabric strategy. This product line simplifies and automates how enterprises govern, trace, and trust their data—across legacy, hybrid, and AI-driven environments.

Your Role
We are seeking a
Product Manager
to lead the development and expansion of Cloudera's
on-premises Data Governance and Lineage product
. This role requires extensive experience in enterprise B2B software and in developing secure, customer-managed, or air-gapped products. The on-premises product will be a key enabler of Cloudera's market expansion strategy, supporting customers and industries that require data sovereignty, compliance, and high security.

You will define the roadmap, collaborate with engineering, sales, and go-to-market teams, and deliver a best-in-class product that combines data lineage, governance, and AI-readiness within enterprise-controlled environments.

As a Product Manager you will:

• Define and own the roadmap for on-premises Data Governance and Lineage solutions as part of Cloudera's Unified Data Fabric.
• Partner with engineering to design scalable, secure, and customer-managed deployments for air-gapped and hybrid infrastructures.
• Translate enterprise customer needs—particularly in regulated, financial, and government sectors—into actionable product requirements.
• Lead cross-functional execution across UX, engineering, and field teams to ensure smooth delivery, adoption, and measurable customer success.
• Enable Cloudera's market expansion by positioning the on-premises product as a core offering for industries requiring high-security and compliance alignment.
• Track key metrics on adoption, deployment velocity, and customer satisfaction to guide continuous improvement.
• Monitor trends in metadata management, hybrid governance, and on-premises data architectures to identify opportunities for innovation.

We are excited if you have (Required Qualifications):

• 2-4 years of product management experience in enterprise B2B software, preferably in data governance, metadata management, or analytics.
• Proven experience building or managing on-premises or air-gapped B2B products deployed in customer environments.
• Strong technical understanding of data architectures: ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses/lakes, BI platforms, metadata repositories, and lineage systems.
• Demonstrated success delivering products used by data engineers, architects, or governance teams.
• Technical fluency in APIs, metadata models, and secure deployment frameworks.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

You may also have:

• Experience managing on-premises enterprise software lifecycles, including packaging, deployment, upgrades, and customer-managed integrations.
• Background in enterprise B2B sales enablement or partner ecosystem development for on-premises software.
• Familiarity with regulated industry requirements (finance, government, healthcare, telecommunications) and compliance frameworks such as GDPR or HIPAA.
• Knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integration with on-premises systems.
• Exposure to AI-driven metadata enrichment, data quality, or lineage automation within enterprise environments.
• Experience launching new products or markets through on-premises deployment strategies.
