Cyber Defence Center Industrial Platform Engineering Expert

The CDC Engineering team is tasked to enable centralized early detection and rapid response systems across MOL Group entities, the role holder will be part of this team and will be responsible to create rules for event correlation, detection/alerting and report creation, additionally maintain and develop designated systems and cross-integrations in between cyber security tools in IT and Industrial environments. The person will be also tasked to create best in class, fit for purpose industrial cybersecurity architecture. The position also oversees the health, performance, stabilization and ongoing planning of the related infrastructure.

We are looking for our new team member as a
Cyber Defence Center Industrial Platform Engineering Expert based in Budapest MOL Campus

Main responsibilities:

• Administrates and operates various cyber security technologies including main systems for detection and response capabilities
• Performs on-site and remote installations, integration and customisation of Cyber Security products according to the MOL Group Cyber Security standards and requirements
• Represents a Level 3 Subject Matter Expert role for detection and response technologies with special focus on Industrial Intrusion Detection technologies
• Assess business/support requirements and define and implement solutions
• Develop custom scripts or utility applications to process repetitive tasks and increase team productivity
• Maintain up to date documentation of designs/configurations
• Performs awareness and representation of security principles and security threats. Support CDC activities as requested by the Cyber Defence Manager

Main requirements:

• 5+ years' experience in IT/Security
• General experience in IT Security products and platforms
• Holder of relevant security-focused certifications (CISSP, GCIA/GCIH, Security+ etc.) is ideal, but not required
• Deep understanding of SOC (Security Operations Centre) technologies, architecture, concepts
• Ability to recognize security events of interest that may require improved detection/alerting capabilities
• Familiar with emerging technologies in the security monitoring, event correlation and alert/detection space
• Security and IT Metrics experience a plus; Report creation abilities strongly desired
• Extensive knowledge of security products such as Active Directory Auditing, Authentication, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems, Packet Brokers and a variety of other related security technologies
• Experience with various security tools is a plus
• Experience with general networking concepts such as routing, switching, packet flow, network design, networking diagramming, deep and session inspection and other related concepts. (Layers1 through 7)
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Knowledge of Industrial zoning concepts
• Scripting Experience (e.g. Python, Perl, RegEx)
• English is a must, Slovakian or Croatian is an advantage
