Join our partner's dynamic team as a Country Chief Accountant, who acts as a central contact for Budapest Finance teams and Finance Managers in the italian affiliates, addressing financial issues, requests, and advisory needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Execute month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate closure of accounts in compliance with the month-end close checklist
  • Oversee financial accuracy and internal controls
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation, anomaly rectification, and ensure timely and quality financial statement reporting
  • Supervise Accounts Receivables, handle cash flow management, treasury matters, and all accounts payable related matters
  • Oversee statutory tax calculations, reconciliation and reporting, alongside managing external financial audits

Main requirements:

  • University degree (preferably in Finance/Accounting related)
  • 8 years of experience in a related field and at least 5 years in accountant / audit role and people management experience
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices; financial reporting, audit, and taxation
  • Proficiency in accounting software, preferably SAP and MS Office
  • Proactive, meticulous, independent work ethic, ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management across diverse groups, with strong influencing skills
  • Proficiency in
    English
    and
    Italian
