About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled

Resident Engineer within
Cisco
, with immersive experience in networking technologies to provide dedicated on-site support for a key customer in Hungary. In this customer-facing role, you will be responsible for the implementation, operation, and optimization of Cisco network solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and stability.
This position is ideal for network engineers with hands-on experience in Cisco Wireless, Routing & Switching, Catalyst Center, and Meraki, who thrive in a customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver on-site operational and technical support for Cisco network infrastructure.
Configure, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco Wireless, Routing & Switching, Meraki, and Catalyst Center (CatCenter) solutions.
Act as a Resident Engineer, embedded within the customer environment, providing day-to-day network support.
Support network implementation projects, upgrades, and change management activities.
Work closely with customer IT teams and internal Cisco stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
Proactively identify network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
Maintain technical documentation and ensure adherence to best practices and security standards.
Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and act as a trusted technical advisor.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Wireless technologies.
Solid expertise in Cisco Routing and Switching.
Experience using Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center / CatCenter).
Familiarity with Cisco Meraki solutions and dashboard.
Proven experience in network troubleshooting, implementation, and operations.
Excellent communication skills with a strong customer-oriented mindset.
Ability to work independently in an on-site, customer-facing role.
Exposure to Cisco DevNet / automation concepts is a plus.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of experience as a Network Engineer, Resident Engineer, or Technical Support Engineer.
Certifications (Preferred)
CCNP – Cisco Certified Network Professional
Other Cisco certifications are an advantage.
Language Requirements
English – Fluent
Hungarian – Fluent (mandatory)
