Core Infrastructure Engineer

YOVO is building the next generation of payment infrastructure for digital entrepreneurs across Europe. Traditional payment platforms weren't designed for this new ecosystem, so we've decided to create something entirely new.

Founded in 2025, YOVO is developing a modern, modular checkout, subscription engine and wordclass product hosting, that makes selling digital products and services effortless. Our mission is to empower creators and digital businesses with the financial and operational infrastructure they need to scale, from frictionless payments to automated workflows and powerful analytics.

We operate remote-first, with the option to work on-site in our Office in Budapest, one of Europe's fastest-growing hubs for tech talent. YOVO is backed by experienced founders, operators, and international angel investors supporting us on our path to reshape the European payments landscape.

We're looking for a Core Infrastructure Engineer who will build, scale, and maintain the foundational systems that power YOVO's checkout, subscription, and hosting platforms. You will work directly with our founding team and engineer to design robust architecture, drive critical infrastructure decisions, and build high-performance systems from zero to one.

You'll ensure our systems remain reliable, secure, and high-performance, while building the tooling and infrastructure that allows the rest of the team to move quickly and safely. This includes designing and scaling all cloud components and related technologies.

• • 3+ years of experience in infrastructure, backend, or platform engineering
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar)
• Solid understanding of core infrastructure primitives: compute, networking, databases, observability, caching
• Experience building scalable systems, handling high-availability environments, or payment-grade reliability
• Strong grasp of distributed systems, API design, and modern backend architectures
• Ability to work independently in a remote-first culture and take end-to-end ownership
• Bonus: Experience with fintech, payment processors, subscription systems, or compliance-sensitive environments

• Architect, build, and maintain YOVO's core infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance
• Develop robust backend systems powering checkout, subscriptions, authentication, and product hosting
• Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless development and operations
• Own deployment pipelines, infrastructure automation, and platform-level security
• Work closely with the founding team to drive architecture decisions and long-term technical vision
• Collaborate with product and engineering to support new features, improve platform stability, and reduce operational overhead
• Optimize systems for speed, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Define best practices, engineering standards, and internal tooling as the company grows
• Troubleshoot production issues, analyze performance bottlenecks, and deliver long-term fixes

Compensation Range: $130K - $175K
