Gedeon Richter is looking for a committed and experienced professional for the position

Biotech Senior Manager Global Business Development

  • Identify pertinent in-license opportunities based on Gedeon Richter's Biotech portfolio and indication strategy
  • Identify suitable co-development and out-license partners with a focus on key markets (USA, Japan)
  • Manage / coordinate with participation of relevant functions potential license, co-development and strategic alliance transactions from start to finish, i.e. from initial out-reach to potential partners, to CDA execution, assessment of opportunity, due diligence, preparing of business cases, negotiation of deal terms and provision of relevant input to draft contracts developed by Legal.
  • Align with pertinent functions, such as R&D, Legal, Finance, IP, PMO, Regulatory and Management as required during the license process and ensure transparency regarding the project status via presentation of ongoing projects at relevant regular Biotech meetings and committees (such as Partner Meeting update, Legal meetings, BDC)
  • Conscientious archiving of progress of license discussions and executed transactions within relevant archiving systems
  • Post license deal execution BD alliance management: a) ensure that obligations of Gedeon Richter and partner companies are fully understood and adhered to be pertinent GR functions. b) Regular alliance management meetings with companies to have early awareness of changing partner strategy and to ensure commitment of partner to licensed products. c) regular analysis / comparison of partner development and commercial performance versus targets at time of deal execution
  • Regular participation in international BD partnering meetings to build and maintain a robust BD industry network
  • Presentation of Gedeon Richter Biotech at Intl. conferences

What are we looking for in your CV

  • 10+ years experience in the pharma / biotech field in the areas of R&D
  • Commercial and / or Business Development
  • prior Pharma/ Biotech BD experience is a big plus

  • At least Master degree, preferably in Natural Sciences
