A leading manufacturing group is expanding its new Financial Hub in Budapest

An established international manufacturing company with a presence already in Budapest is now expanding a fresh SSC unit to centralize all plant accounting and controlling operations from across its global factories.

This is a major transition project, where cost accounting and factory controlling will take center stage — so if you have experience in manufacturing finance, this is your opportunity to help shape a high-impact financial hub.

Location: center of Budapest

Hybrid work: 3 home office days/week

Our client is a globally operating, production-focused group with EU roots, known for its engineering excellence and strong industrial footprint. With manufacturing sites across multiple continents, they're now consolidating all factory-related finance functions into a central hub in Budapest, bringing key processes such as cost controlling, inventory accounting, and plant reporting under one roof.

You'll be joining a team that is being built from the ground up - with the support of experienced transition managers and strong local leadership. This is not just another SSC role - you'll have the chance to take part in transforming global operations, right from the heart of Hungary.

We are currently looking for a
medior/senior Cost Accounting Analyst
colleague to join the newly forming team. We are especially interested in professionals with a background in cost accounting, inventory accounting, or plant controlling, who are comfortable working in an international context and ready to take part in a major transition project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and calculate standard product costs across manufacturing sites
  • Analyze cost variances (standard vs actual) and perform inventory valuation
  • Post inventory movements and manufacturing-related transactions
  • Support monthly closing activities: accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Contribute to the transition process and help build shared service accounting processes

Requirements:

  • 3–4+ years of experience in a manufacturing company, within an international environment
  • Background in cost accounting or plant controlling
  • Confident user of SAP or other major ERP systems
  • Strong English skills, both written and spoken
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and structured working style
  • Openness to transition projects and building new processes from the ground up
