KBC Group is a leading European financial group with a focus on providing bank-insurance products and services to retail, private banking, SME and mid-cap clients, in our core countries: Belgium, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Bulgaria.

The KBC Services and Infrastructure division (SIN) decided on a nearshore HR strategy based on 2 locations: the core internal workforce is based in Belgium and in Hungary. Therefore not only our services are international, but also our teams.

Our responsibilities range from day-to-day operation to application development and its operation.

We are constantly expanding the Hungarian side of the team, which is why we are looking for enthusiastic, motivated new team members with junior, medior or possibly senior work experience.

What the team is doing:

• Responsible for the KBC cloud platform.
• Architectural design, engineering, integration and the maintenance of AWS Cloud environment.
• The focus is on technology and infrastructure services.

• We are currently maintaining the landing zone for foundation services

• Everything ranging from security, monitoring and logging, networking, IAM, costs, governance, etc.

• The application development is handled by DevOps teams.

What your job will be:

• You will work closely together with the DevOps teams.
• Feasibility studies on new technologies and services.
• Design different services.
• Focus on security, maintainability, flexibility and efficiency.
• Work with architects and analysts on final design.
• Work in an agile environment with product owners and scrum masters, as well.
• Work with software engineers on effective positioning and service offerings.
• Maintain operational stability and efficiency in production.
• 24/7 support, on-call during the week mostly, some weekend releases.
• Engineering and maintenance for business units and departments.
• Work with multiple customers, each having their own requirements and deadlines.
• Incident and release management and disaster recovery.

• Design principles in public cloud.
• AWS basic infrastructure: portal, CLI, etc.
• Terraform experience.
• Python scripting knowledge.
• Infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Test-driven coding.
• CI-CD on AWS (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Step Functions, etc.)

What you can expect during the recruitment process:

• After sending your CV in English, expect a three-round interview process, one online with our local recruiter, one online in English with the Belgian team leader, and the final round is in person at our office in Budapest (in Hungarian) to get to know each other better.
