JOB BRIEF

We are searching for a Junior / Mid-Level Java Developer candidate to help develop new features and functionality for high-transaction online gaming websites. You will be required to produce robust, clear and polished code to the required time scales.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly-motivated Junior Java developer to be involved in the delivery of new customer products and/or customer roadmaps. The candidate will be a key member of an agile development team comprising a Product Manager (Application Specialist), Client developers and Testers. The role will leverage cutting-edge technologies to deliver betting opportunities and odds via an automated platform. The candidate will be a key member of a development team comprising a Product Manager (Application Specialist), Client, developers and testers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Proposing and implementing technical solutions by developing and maintaining Java based components and interfaces

Defining technical objectives by analysing user requirements and proposing system features and functionality

Determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests (using TDD)

Integrating applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines and information servers

Creating development solutions based on best practice; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms

Supporting customers (internal and external) by developing documentation and assistance tools

Ensuring the knowledge transfer process can be facilitated by contributing to developer forums and by performing coaching/mentoring activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Min 1.5 years of professional experience
• Strong core Java, e.g. Collections, Lambda, Generics
• Multi-threaded programming
• Spring Framework / Spring Boot
• Experience with popular Java libraries, e.g. Guava, Apache Commons
• Maven
• Proficiency in Java debugging
• Strong SQL
• JSON, REST and TDD
• GIT
