Market Access & Government Affairs Manager
Short description
We are looking for an experienced
Market Access & Government Affairs Manager
to lead patient access and healthcare policy initiatives in Hungary. This high-impact role combines strategic advocacy with regulatory expertise to ensure that innovative therapies — particularly in oncology — reach the patients who need them most.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Develop and lead pricing, reimbursement, and access (PRA) strategies across the product portfolio, with a strong focus on oncology.
- Prepare and manage PRA submissions and lead negotiations with national health authorities.
- Provide regulatory and legal input on pricing and access policies, identifying potential barriers and recommending solutions.
- Monitor healthcare legislation, policy, and market trends to support business strategy.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, health associations, and patient organizations.
- Represent the company in external policy discussions and industry association activities.
Required competencies
- University degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or health economics; an MBA is an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical market access, pricing & reimbursement, and public affairs.
- Proven expertise in reimbursement negotiations with NEAK.
- Strong understanding of therapeutic access challenges.
- Solid knowledge of HTA methodologies, pricing regulations, and the Hungarian healthcare system.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in Hungarian and English.
