Context

As part of a global finance transformation program ("One Finance"), our client, an international group, is looking for an
Account Payable Project Manager (F/M)
.

The role covers a portfolio of around thirty projects, including several major initiatives, aimed at harmonising and optimising accounts payable processes across multiple entities and regions. The Project Manager will work closely with finance, procurement, operations and IT teams, as well as an international shared service center and regional controllers.

The position is open to candidates based in
Western Europe
, with a
flexible remote
working model and occasional travel depending on project needs.

Mission

  • Lead and coordinate a
    portfolio of AP / Procure‑to‑Pay projects
    (scoping, planning, risks, reporting).
  • Analyse and
    optimise end‑to‑end AP processes
    : invoice receipt, validation, matching, payment, dispute handling.
  • Support the
    standardisation and harmonisation
    of P2P processes and business rules across countries.
  • Drive the deployment and enhancement of
    AP tools
    (ERP modules, invoice dematerialisation, workflows, 2‑/3‑way matching) in partnership with IT and the shared service center.
  • Coordinate with the
    shared service center
    and regional teams to secure quality, compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with
    Compliance / Internal Control
    to embed control requirements in AP processes and workflows.
  • Produce and maintain
    process and project documentation
    (process maps, procedures, RACI).
  • Support
    change management
    : communication, training, hypercare and ongoing support for local teams.

Required profile

  • Strong experience in
    finance projects
    and/or
    AP / P2P process transformation
    , ideally in a program or multi‑project context.
  • Solid knowledge of the
    accounts payable cycle
    (supplier invoices, approval flows, payments, disputes).
  • Experience working with
    shared service centers
    and international, multi‑country organisations.
  • Comfortable in a
    matrix, multicultural environment
    , with remote stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with a major
    ERP finance system
    (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics or equivalent) and
    AP / dematerialisation tools
    .
  • Strong
    project management
    skills (multi‑project environment, planning, follow‑up, steering committees).
  • Excellent
    communication skills
    and ability to work effectively in a remote setup.
  • Fluent English
    is mandatory; any additional European language is an advantage.
  • Based preferably in
    Western Europe
    , with a
    flexible remote
    working pattern.
