Overview
Certara accelerates medicines using proprietary biosimulation software, technology, and services to transform traditional drug discovery and development. Its clients include more than 2,000 biopharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, and regulatory agencies across 62 countries.

As a Cloud Engineer, you will take a role in ensuring the operational excellence of the company's products. You will be responsible for managing critical cloud infrastructure components, designing and implementing robust deployment pipelines, and leading the resolution of complex technical issues. Your expertise will help shape the team's technical direction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure and platform components
  • Implement and optimise infrastructure for reliability and efficiency in accordance with internal standards, policies and vision
  • Provide support for internal stakeholders troubleshooting and resolving escalated issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve challenges
  • Sharing your knowledge and best practices within the team and also with 3rd party stakeholders
  • Contribute to the documentation of standard operating procedures
  • Participate in on-call rotations for critical issue resolution

Qualifications

  • English language proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar position (DevOps Engineer, SRE Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar)
  • Working experience with AWS (EKS, ECS, Lambda, Cloudformation Stackset, Cloudfront, API gateway)
  • Familiar with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiar with IaC and CaC solutions (Terraform, Boilerplate, Packer, Helm, etc.)
  • Familiar with programming-, scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash)
  • CI/CD tooling (Gitlab, Argo CD, renovatebot)
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with networking technologies (VPN, VPC peering, Transit gateway, NLB)
