The Accounts Payable Specialist is an essential member of the company's global Accounts Payable (AP) team. The AP team manages the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor onboarding, 2-way matching, invoice processing, employee expense reimbursements, travel management, and payments. This role interacts regularly with internal departments, vendors, and other external stakeholders, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

This role offers flexibility and can be based in our Budapest, HU office with a hybrid schedule.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Receive, review, and accurately process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies.
• Manage the vendor onboarding process, including collecting required documentation, validating vendor information, and ensuring accurate setup in procurement and accounting systems.
• Manage the AP inbox; respond to inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure accurate accounting of indirect taxes (VAT/GST, Sales Tax).
• Execute payments in compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements, using methods such as manual and batch bank transfers, credit cards, and vendor payment platforms.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of invoices, payments, and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile vendor statements, invoices, and payments to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve billing issues while ensuring a positive vendor experience.
• Review and process employee expense reports for reimbursement.
• Support the administration and monitoring of employee and corporate card programs.
• Assist in the company's travel management processes.
• Collaborate closely with the AP Manager to ensure accurate invoice and payment recording.
• Work closely with colleagues across Finance and other departments, as well as vendors and banks, to ensure smooth coordination and positive stakeholder relationships.

WHAT YOU'll BRING:

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
• Hands-on Accounts Payable experience, including invoice processing and payment execution.
• Banking experience required.
• Experience with spend management tools, such as Ramp, is meriting.
• Experience with global VAT, GST, and Sales Tax reporting is meriting.
• Fluency in Hungarian and English (written and spoken) is essential.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, with focus on Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Strong communication skills; comfortable interacting directly with internal teams, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
