This role can be based in Prague, Bratislava or Budapest.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Category Buyer to join our Local Procurement Team in Eastern Europe. You will manage indirect and marketing categories, drive sourcing initiatives, and collaborate closely with local and regional business stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

Category & Supplier Management

• Manage end-to-end procurement for indirect & marketing local categories (e.g., media & production services, POS/BTL, PR, market research)
• Conduct supplier selection, negotiation and contracting in alignment with procurement policies
• Analyze supplier market trends and performance, identify synergy and cost-optimization opportunities
• Develop category insights, support light strategy creation, and own local execution

Business Partnering

• Collaborate with marketing, commercial and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver value-added solutions
• Act as a point of contact for procurement topics in the Country and Management Unit; ensure compliance and stakeholder enablement

Performance & Process Excellence

• Track savings, performance KPIs and key procurement metrics
• Ensure transparent, compliant processes
• Contribute to continuous improvement, automation and digitalization initiatives (AI, analytics, process simplification, sourcing tools)

Must have

• 3+ years of experience in procurement (ideally indirect & marketing categories)
• OR passion to procurement with experience in Supply Chain, Sales, Project Management etc.
• Fluent English (spoken & written)
• Analytical mindset, ability to work with data and insights
• Strong communication & negotiation skills
• Problem-solving approach and proactive mindset
• Team-oriented personality with strong ownership and drive

Nice to have

• Additional languages: Hungarian or Ukrainian (other Easter European languages are also welcome)
• Experience with SAP, SRM, Ariba or other procurement systems
• AI skills or passion for leveraging tech & data in procurement
