Our client is a global industrial leader operating in over 100 countries, known for its advanced manufacturing footprint and commitment to driving digital innovation across its factories and supply chain. They are currently undergoing one of the most significant ERP and operational technology transformations in their industry to modernize systems, improve efficiency, and enable next-generation operations.

We are looking
Regional Technical Process Owner (rTPO)
to support a major, multi-year digital transformation program modernizing core ERP, manufacturing, and operational technologies across Europe. This role is central to ensuring technical consistency, smooth deployment, and high-quality integration as the organization transitions to SAP S/4HANA and complementary Best-of-Breed (BoB) applications.

The rTPO acts as a key technical bridge between Business Process Owners, Functional Experts, and Digital implementation teams—shaping solutions, guiding deployments, and ensuring the stability of both new and legacy systems throughout the transformation journey.

Location: Hybrid model based in Budapest, Hungary (first 100% onsite, later 2-3 days/week)

Contract: Long-term contract (no benefits, medical, PTO...)

Responsibilities

• Solution Deployment (SAP S/4HANA & Integrated Tools)
• Serve as the regional expert for SAP S/4 processes, ensuring alignment with global templates and best practices.
• Analyze As-Is and To-Be processes, gather technical/functional requirements, and support Fit-to-Template workshops.
• Contribute to solution design, configuration documentation, testing execution, data preparation, and cutover activities.
• Support change management and training efforts to ensure smooth adoption across local teams.
• Validate all integration points between SAP S/4, Best-of-Breed applications, and legacy systems; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Best-of-Breed (BoB) Applications Deployment
• Support architecture and integration design between BoB systems and ERP.
• Participate in planning, execution, E2E testing, cutover, and issue resolution for BoB deployments.
• Ensure accurate data mapping and support data migration activities.
• Legacy Systems Continuity
• Ensure stability and performance of legacy applications during transformation.
• Assist business and technical teams in resolving issues and maintaining integrations.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and readiness gaps as migration progresses.
• Post-Implementation Support
• Maintain and update process/system documentation and Lessons Learned repositories.
• Provide ongoing training and knowledge transfer to Key Users and newcomers.

Technical & Professional Requirements

• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA processes, architecture, and integration points.
• Experience in ERP deployments, Fit-to-Template workshops, testing cycles, and cutover execution.
• Hands-on involvement with Best-of-Breed application integration and data migration.
• Familiarity with legacy system support during ERP transformations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional global teams.
• Strong analytical mindset, documentation discipline, and problem-solving capability.
