Role Description

Paynance offer a full-time hybrid role for a Platform Architect who will play a key role in the further development of our infrastructure and architecture. The position is responsible for designing the entire technology stack, implementing cloud-native solutions, and developing an on-premise migration strategy.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in DevOps / Platform Engineering / SRE

  • 3+ years of Kubernetes operation and architecture design experience

  • Deep knowledge of CI/CD systems (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Jenkins)

  • Knowledge of GitOps principles and tools (ArgoCD, Flux)

  • High-level knowledge of container technologies (Docker)

  • Design and optimization of relational databases (PostgreSQL)

  • Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)

  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki)

Advantages

  • Knowledge of message broker systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

  • Experience with caching solutions (Redis)

- Experience with service mesh (Linkerd, Istio) implementation

- API Gateway (Kong, Ambassador) configuration

- microservice development experience

- Knowledge of Laravel/PHP

- On-premise infrastructure design experience

- Knowledge of the fintech or payment sector

- Distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry, Tempo, Jaeger)
