Supply Chain Distribution Manager| Hybrid Role | Budapest

Drive excellence in Celanese's global supply chain operations as our Distribution Network Optimization Leader

You'll lead our regional Deployment Resource Planning (DRP) teams to optimize product distribution across our global network. This strategic role balances customer service excellence with cost optimization, ensuring products reach customers efficiently while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Working at the intersection of supply planning, warehousing, customer service, and logistics, you'll drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance our €9.7B global chemical business's operational efficiency.



Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
    • Strategic Distribution Leadership: Lead Stock Transfer Order (STO) performance reviews to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining optimal inventory levels across our distribution network
    • Supply Chain Optimization: Enhance STO parameters and data quality to align with current demand-supply dynamics and business requirements
    • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with sending Operating Centers, logistics teams, and scheduling specialists to ensure seamless product movement and proactively resolve challenges
    • Capacity Management: Partner with warehousing and logistics teams to analyze inbound/outbound capacities and resolve transportation bottlenecks
    • Network Efficiency: Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives to optimize our distribution network parameters
    • Compliance Excellence: Maintain current knowledge of safety requirements and transportation regulations
    • Performance Analytics: Track and report on critical KPIs including lead time adherence, PGI overdue status, and STO delays
    • Team Development: Build talent pipeline and optimize regional team structure to support business growth


Qualifications:

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration
  • 8+ years in supply chain or commercial functions experience
  • Proven team leadership skills with excellent communication abilities
  • Solution-oriented mindset with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy
  • Strong analytical thinking with systematic problem-solving approach
  • Experience managing global supply networks and client relationships
  • Proficiency in SAP S4 environment (particularly PP/PS, MM, and SD modules)
  • Experience with Celanese EM business products and processes (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
