Country Lead- Hungary

As the senior representative, the Hungary Country Lead will oversee all business functions, ensuring alignment with corporate values, regional strategies, and local compliance requirements. This individual will play a key role in leading the commercial organization, developing market strategies, managing key stakeholder relationships, and cultivating a high-performance team culture to deliver on ambitious growth and financial targets.

What you'll do with us:

  • Lead the delivery of EBIT targets by driving sales revenue, managing expenses, and ensuring profitability and cash flow performance.
  • Develop and execute country-specific business strategies in collaboration with regional stakeholders to achieve long-term commercial success.
  • Build and nurture a high-performing, motivated team by setting clear goals, coaching talent, and promoting succession planning.
  • Identify market opportunities, manage key accounts, and implement distribution strategies that adapt to changing industry dynamics.
  • Cultivate relationships with customers, regulatory bodies, industry partners, and research institutions to support growth and innovation efforts.
  • Ensure all operations align with FMC values, internal policies, and national laws and regulations.

Your qualification & attributes:

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience in a country or general management role, ideally within the crop protection, agriculture, or related industries.
  • Strong financial acumen with a track record of delivering P&L results and driving profitable growth.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable commercial strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performance teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience engaging with regulatory authorities and industry bodies.
  • Fluent in Hungarian and English; knowledge of regional languages is a plus.
