Senior Full-stack Engineer, People Apps and Automations

At Wolt (Doordash International), our People Apps and Automations team is on a mission to elevate how over 10,000+ employees experience technology every day. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of this movement—designing innovative tools, streamlining workflows, and crafting scalable solutions that make work feel effortless. You'll collaborate across IT and the wider business to imagine and implement automation systems that empower our people to do their best work.

This role is based in Budapest, Hungary. If you are based in Hungary, remote work is also an option.

• Create powerful tools and applications to support employee and manager lifecycles
• Work closely with business partners to understand business strategies while aligning product outcomes to create exceptional experiences using various technology 
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Wolt to understand needs and build solutions that simplify their daily work.
• Support troubleshooting, configuration, testing, and deployment of applications to meet requirements, timelines, and execution standards
• Document and support your work with clear instructions and ongoing knowledge sharing.
• Continuously refine and upgrade existing systems to stay ahead of scaling demands.
• Proactively hunt for opportunities to improve employee workflows and experience.
• Partner deeply with IT teams to ensure every tech touch point exceeds expectations.

• A strong software engineering foundation, with 7+ years of experience in building and maintaining production-grade systems.
• Fluency in Javascript (Typescript), , , React and similar technologies. Python will be a plus.
• A natural curiosity for automation—you're always testing new tools and keeping an eye on the latest trends.
• A problem-solving mindset—you're the kind of person who doesn't stop until a solution is found.
• Clear, professional communication skills and fluency in English.
• A team player with initiative and resilience—you thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
• Willingness to travel when the job calls for it.
