We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Development Physician for a global position within the clinical development function of a leading multinational pharmaceutical partner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical research and development and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical environment. 

This global role plays a key part in shaping medical strategy and provides scientific and medical expertise to support pipeline development and licensing activities in the relevant therapeutic area. The position involves both internal strategic input and active external engagement with medical and scientific stakeholders.

 


Key Responsibilities

 

  • Contribute to the development of medical strategy and the therapeutic portfolio, with particular focus on identifying opportunities for pipeline expansion.

  • Provide in-depth knowledge of development projects, therapeutic area advancements, regulatory landscapes, and competitor activities.

  • Participate in the design and preparation of clinical development plans and trial protocols.

  • Act as a medical expert in the review and analysis of clinical trial data.

  • Maintain and develop scientific dialogue with internal stakeholders, external experts, key opinion leaders, and development partners.

  • Assess candidate products in licensing opportunities from a medical and regulatory perspective.

  • Represent clinical and medical viewpoints in cross-functional decision-making processes.

     

Your Background

 

  • University degree in Medicine or Pharmacy, with a strong foundation in medical or scientific principles relevant to clinical development.

  • At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry. While prior involvement in clinical development is preferred, a solid background in clinical operations is also considered valuable.

  • Proven experience in shaping global medical strategies and contributing to the development and management of product portfolios.

  • Strong ability to critically assess scientific literature and clinical data, with a focus on accuracy, relevance, and strategic value.

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, as it is the primary language of communication in this role.

  • An analytical and strategic mindset, capable of distilling complex scientific information into clear insights that support cross-functional decision-making.
