We are currently looking for a highly motivated Indirect Tax/VAT Expert to join a global leader in industrial machinery manufacturing sector, based in Budapest.

The role is primarily VAT compliance and tax technology focused.

Responsibilities

· Support the implementation of tax technology tools (with a high focus on VAT compliance tools), ERP implementations (especially SAP S4), and the change management of such tools and ERPs (various ERPs, including Oracle and SAP versions).

· Support the VAT compliance transition/migration from local sites to the VAT team.

· Communicate with (regional) controllers and local businesses about VAT queries and developments.

· Assist the EMA VAT Manager with the oversight and control over the VAT team's compliance activities, continuously improve VAT policies and documentation in EMA.

· Review of VAT returns, EC Sales List, reconciliations prepared by the VAT team and preparation of such deliverables.

· Mentoring other team members to ensure their continuous professional improvement.

Qualifications

· University degree in finance/accounting/tax

· Approximately 5+years of relevant experience at a BSC or/and mix background: industry and consulting

· ERPs experience and preferably with tax technology tools (SAP S4)

· Fluency in Hungarian and English both in writing and verbally, other languages are a big plus

· Strong data analysis skills

· Excellent team player and communication skills.
