a
Senior Technical Program Manager.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Program Manager with a strong background in network infrastructure to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the successful delivery of complex network infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet business objectives and are executed efficiently within budget and on time. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, service delivery, and other technology teams to deliver robust and scalable network solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership: Lead and manage large-scale network infrastructure programs from inception through to completion, including planning, executing, and overseeing project schedules, budgets, and resources; Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams throughout all phases of the program.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize your deep understanding of network infrastructure technologies to guide project planning and execution. This includes knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and datacenter networking.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, IT, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are well defined, risks are mitigated, and deliverables are met; Facilitate effective communication across all teams.
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed program objectives, scope, deliverables, schedule, budget, and resource allocation; Monitor and track project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders; Communicate program status, updates, milestones, risks, and issues to stakeholders through regular reporting and presentations; Ensure stakeholders are engaged and informed throughout the project lifecycle, addressing concerns and prioritizing feedback to ensure successful program delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all network infrastructure projects meet required quality standards and comply with industry best practices and security regulations.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities; Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address identified risks; Monitor and track risk factors throughout the program lifecycle, implementing proactive measures to minimize risk exposure.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, design documents, and project reports; Provide regular and detailed status updates to senior management.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices for project/program management and network infrastructure delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in
technical program management, with a focus on network infrastructure projects.
Experience in large-scale enterprise network environments is highly preferred. - Proven track record of successfully leading, managing, and delivering large-scale complex projects on time and within budget.
- Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of network technologies including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, could networking, datacenter infrastructure, firewall, load balancers, network security, server farms, and systems; Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools such as Agile, Scrum, and Jira. - Ability to deal with ambiguity and define approaches to bring unfocused issues to resolution.
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to act as a bridge between multiple business and technology areas.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize; ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
- A team player with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for work.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
- Certifications (preferred): PMP, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CISSP, CompTIA Network+, Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), or other relevant certifications.
