This role offers the opportunity to work across complex legal frameworks while contributing to the governance of secure and transparent online services.

About the Role

As
Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel
, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's operations, Terms of Service, and policies comply with both
EU and Hungarian legal requirements
.

You'll help shape internal processes and documentation while staying at the forefront of evolving regulations that impact the digital ecosystem.

You'll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, contribute to transparency and risk management initiatives, and act as a key advisor for ongoing compliance efforts across Europe and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research on EU and Hungarian frameworks, including the
    Digital Services Act
    ,
    Consumer Protection Directive
    , and
    online safety laws
    .
  • Review and update
    Terms of Service
    ,
    Privacy Policies
    , and internal documentation.
  • Support the preparation of the company's
    Transparency Report
    and ensure timely regulatory reporting.
  • Identify and mitigate compliance risks across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align legal requirements with business practices.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years' experience
    in legal and/or compliance roles, ideally within
    technology, telecom, or digital services
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    EU and Hungarian digital regulation
    and consumer protection law.
  • Excellent
    research, drafting, and advisory skills
    .
  • Fluent in
    Hungarian and English
    (both written and spoken).
  • Law degree required (JD or equivalent); LL.M. preferred.

Work Setup

This role is
based in Budapest
with
hybrid flexibility
. Candidates must be located in Hungary and able to attend the office when required, especially during the induction period (North of Central Budapest in Pest County)
