Join our dynamic global team as a z/OS Technician, where you will be responsible for supporting shared services and ensuring the smooth operation of our mainframe environment. You will work on a variety of tasks, including both routine operations and one-time projects, providing critical support to our customers.
This role involves on-call duties approximately every 4th week, requiring flexibility and commitment to service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain communication servers and mainframe network components
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SNA, VTAM, TCP/IP, and TPX
- Read and interpret manuals to find effective solutions
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high availability and performance
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely support for shared services
Mandatory Skills:
- Experience with Communication Servers, SNA, VTAM, Mainframe TCP/IP, and TPX
- Strong troubleshooting skills in communication environments
- Passion for learning and problem-solving in mainframe communication topics
- Fluency in English and Hungarian, both oral and written
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in a related role
Preferred Skills:
- TDSLINK, NFTP, FTP Server, Mail Server, Policy Agent
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mainframe communication and networking
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals
- Excellent communication skills and team collaboration
