About the Role

Throne Solutions is looking for a skilled and analytical Cyber Threat Analyst to join our cybersecurity operations team in Budapest. The selected candidate will play a key role in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cyber threats targeting enterprise environments across cloud, network, and on-premise infrastructures.

You will work closely with incident response, network security, and cloud teams to proactively detect vulnerabilities, respond to threats, and enhance the organization's overall cyber resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze network and system activity to identify suspicious behavior and potential security incidents.
  • Perform threat hunting, intrusion detection, and malware analysis using modern tools and frameworks.
  • Investigate alerts from SIEM systems and coordinate with incident response teams for containment and recovery.
  • Assess and mitigate risks across cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and hybrid infrastructures.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and collaborate on remediation strategies.
  • Research emerging threats, attack vectors, and adversary tactics (TTPs) to enhance proactive defense.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, findings, and threat intelligence reports.
  • Contribute to the improvement of SOC processes, detection logic, and playbooks.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–6 years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, threat detection, or incident response.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection, and endpoint security.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and configuration for Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, malware behavior, phishing detection, and log analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Certifications (Must Have at Least One):

  • CompTIA Security+
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP – Level 3 preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with threat hunting frameworks, incident response automation, or cloud-native security tools.
  • Familiarity with endpoint detection and response (EDR) and XDR platforms.
  • Knowledge of security standards and frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.).
