Tuxera is looking for a Senior File System Developer to join our Hungary team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing and delivering reliable, high-performance storage and connectivity solutions
used by some of the world's leading technology companies.

We're looking for an experienced engineer who thrives on solving complex technical challenges, driving innovation, and taking full ownership of their work. What You'll Do

  • Design and implement advanced features and optimizations for Tuxera's file system and connectivity products.
  • Lead technical initiatives to improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with global engineering teams to integrate Tuxera technologies into customer and partner solutions.
  • Support and guide custom engineering projects, from concept to delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement by refining development processes, tools, and quality standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to maintaining a culture of technical excellence.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong programming expertise in C, with a focus on embedded and system-level development.
  • Proven experience with embedded systems and/or real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Experience in debugging, profiling, and optimizing performance in constrained environments.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) for automation and testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with coding standards such as MISRA.
  • Familiarity with V-model or similar software development processes.
  • Ability to review code, provide constructive feedback, and guide best practices.
  • Experience contributing to open-source file system or kernel projects.
