We are currently looking for a Configuration and Asset Manager who will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our configuration management database (CMDB), managing IT assets throughout their lifecycle, and ensuring data integrity within the ServiceNow platform. You will play a key role in ensuring transparency, compliance, and efficiency across our IT operations.

Your tasks will consist of

  • Manage and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards.
  • Oversee the full IT asset lifecycle (procurement, deployment, maintenance, retirement) in close cooperation with relevant departments.
  • Configure, customize, and maintain ServiceNow backend modules related to Configuration and Asset Management.
  • Define and improve CMDB and asset management processes, policies, and data models.
  • Collaborate with IT operations, security, and service management teams to ensure data consistency across platforms.
  • Support audits and compliance checks by providing accurate configuration and asset data.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to configuration and asset management.
  • Provide reports and dashboards for management and stakeholders.
  • Support integration projects and migrations impacting configuration or asset data.

You are looking for us, if you have

  • Experience in Configuration and Asset Management or related IT service management areas.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow backend administration (especially CMDB and Asset Management modules).
  • Strong analytical and process-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proactive, structured, and detail-oriented working style.
  • Business fluent English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have

  • ITIL certification or practical knowledge of ITIL processes (especially Configuration and Asset Management).
  • Experience in ServiceNow development or scripting (e.g. Business Rules, Workflows, Catalog Items).
  • Background in IT operations or system administration.
  • German language knowledge.
