Lead Sourcing Specialist

Job Description Summary
The Lead Sourcing Specialist (Front Line Leader) for Heavy Duty Gas Turbines Installation Parts is responsible for defining and executing the regional fulfillment strategy for Installation Parts Requests (IPRs) and Planned Demand (PD) originating from installation sites. The role ensures safe, high-quality, on-time, and cost-effective material availability to support heavy duty gas turbine installation projects within the region. This position acts as the primary interface between installation sites, internal stakeholders, and suppliers, and leads escalation, deviation, and nonconformance management related to installation parts.

Job Description
Responsibilities (What you will do):

• Define and implement global fulfillment strategies for installation parts requests and planned demand-driven material needs from heavy duty gas turbine installation sites worldwide.
• Review and approve purchase orders related to installation parts, ensuring compliance with sourcing and fulfillment processes.
• Proactively manage and resolve escalation cases, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Deliver training and provide ongoing support to gas turbine installation sites on current ordering, fulfillment, and material management processes.
• Lead and support supplier discussions during the quotation phase, in collaboration with sourcing and project stakeholders.

Requirements (What You Will Bring)

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven professional experience in supply chain, materials management, sourcing, or project support within an industrial and/or international project-based environment. Demonstrated ability to manage escalations, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, and support complex installation or project execution activities.
• Language: Fluency in English language.
• Tools: Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and order management processes. Strong proficiency in MS Office applications; advanced Excel skills are a plus.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, solution-oriented mindset. Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with remote and cross-cultural teams. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.

The position is open for both of the following locations:

• Váci Greens Office Park, District XIII., Budapest, Hungary
• Veresegyház, GEV Gas Power Manufacturing Site, Hungary

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid - 2 office days/week - applicable upon Employer and People Leader permission.
