About the department:
BYD is market leader across all ranges - passenger cars, trucks, buses and warehousing equipment.
The R&D department plans the sustainable product and technology road map for Europe and works on developing advanced, full electric vehicles series, which fulfill current and future European private transportation market needs. By cooperating with European leading suppliers, the R&D department continuously upgrades design and engineering abilities for excellent product performance and quality.
As R&D Engineer, you will do research, analysis and evaluation of E-mobility products, user experience and usability of both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. You will use these research insights for the product development and iteration, working closely together with product, design and engineering teams.
Your main responsibility is:
- Responsible for defining ENCAP active safety test plan and strategy;
- Following up on the pre-test and formal test of ENCAP active safety for BYD vehicle;
- Calibrate/maintain vehicles and support test engineers during test execution;
- Propose solutions and report/solve problems during the test execution;
- Analyze the failure test scenarios and conduct the on-going research;
- Research on new automotive technologies in Europe;
- Study of specific European regulations or requirements.
Your personal information:
- Bachelor degree or above, major in: automotive, mechanical, electronic information engineering, intelligent driving related, intelligent driving algorithm related is prefered;
- Proficient in auxiliary driving or intelligent driving system;
- Be familiar with the principle and technology of ENCAP active safety test;
- Can solve work problems independently;
- Have the ability to summarize and explain the problem, can clearly describe the reasons for the loss in the report and summarize the research direction from the failure;
- English can be used as a working language;
- Team work spirit, excellent organization and communication skills.
