About the Role

We are looking for a Development Engineer specializing in Model-Based Development

(MBD) to join our team. The role focuses on model development and integration using

MATLAB/Simulink, contributing to the design and validation of vehicle control systems. You

will be part of a dynamic environment where virtual models are developed, integrated, and

tested through MiL (Model-in-the-Loop) and HiL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) environments

before vehicle implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate Simulink models for vehicle control systems and subsystems.
  • Design, implement, and maintain models for various vehicle domains (e.g., powertrain, chassis, ADAS).
  • Perform model integration, simulation, and debugging in MiL and HiL environments.
  • Support calibration, validation, and testing of models using dSPACE or similar HiL systems.
  • Collaborate with function developers, system engineers, and test teams to ensure smooth end-to-end workflow.
  • Analyze and resolve issues in model behavior, signal interfaces, and system integration.
  • Contribute to the automation of testing, build processes, and version control (e.g., CI/CD pipelines).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development workflows (MiL, SiL, HiL).
  • Familiarity with automotive communication networks (CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet) and Vector tools (CANape, CANalyzer, CANoe).
  • Experience with dSPACE tools such as ControlDesk or ConfigurationDesk is an advantage.
  • Basic programming knowledge (Python, C, or C++) for automation or model integration tasks.
  • Understanding of vehicle system architecture and embedded control systems.
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with version control (SVN, git)
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in English (German is an advantage).
