ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced German speaking PL1 Developer with expert-level technical capabilities and strong communication skills. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications while ensuring seamless integration between development and operational processes. You will be responsible for implementing best practices across the software development lifecycle, including automation, continuous delivery, performance optimization, and system stability. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help drive modernization initiatives, streamline workflows, and support mission-critical systems.

The position is open to candidates residing in Hungary only.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using PL1 on Enterprise Server platforms

  • Manage and optimize DB2 databases and write efficient SQL

  • Work within Linux-based development and runtime environments

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for improved delivery processes

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure high availability and performance of systems

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and provide documentation and technical guidance in German

  • Support modernization, migration, and integration projects within enterprise landscapes

REQUIREMENTS

  • Expert-level experience with PL1, DB2, SQL, Linux, and Enterprise Server

  • Fluency in German (written and spoken)

  • Strong DevOps mindset with experience in automation and CI/CD

  • Ability to work independently and within agile teams

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
