We are setting up two new scrum teams (team-of-ten) in Budapest and looking for a Cloud Architect as part of one of the new scrum teams for SAP Logistics Management (SAP LGM). With SAP LGM we are developing a cloud-native, modular, integrated, network centric and AI driven end-to-end logistics suite solution on BTP including warehousing and transportation capabilities. As key pillar of our vision for an autonomous supply chain SAP LGM will be SAP's next generation, best-in-class offering for logistics execution and targets to offer fully integrated real-time end-to-end visibility, dynamic capacity management, prescriptive decision-making, proven automation and exception-based user interaction.

As a Cloud Architect you will be part of our team developing Supply Chain product capabilities for the cloud.

In the area of Architecture design, you...

• design robust, resilient and scalable cloud-native applications
• provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship
• maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
• apply important cloud development principles such as scalability, extensibility, security, cloud authentication and authorization, etc. to your and the team's development tasks
• understand, contribute to or apply product standards in general, like software engineering standards on accessibility, software lifecycle, performance, business configuration, etc, to the solution

In the area of Cloud Native development, you..

• have a hands-on mentality and act as a role-model to plan, implement and test functionality together with product management, designers and experts using Java, SAP UI5, JavaScript, etc. for dedicated topics
• use, design or implement web communication protocols like REST, OData and CloudEvents
• drive performance tuning for the JVM, databases and REST calls
• are familiar with Kafka, Redis, SAP CPI, IoT, Message Queues, etc. to be used in your solution
• use GitHub for reviews and version control

In the area of DevOps, you...

• understand and can discuss the setup of microservices including stages, tenants and pipelines
• can execute Jenkins pipeline management
• se, design and apply the feature toggle in your development tasks

What you bring:

• 8+ years of experience in Cloud Software Development
• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical disciplines
• a deep understanding of microservices, design-patterns and event-based architecture including PaaS / SaaS service frameworks
• knowledge about Docker, Kubernetes or similar container-based technologies and platforms
• SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) experience is plus
• advanced programming skills/methods and rich experience in some of them: Java, SAPUI5; JavaScript, SQL, Spring and Spring Boot; know-how in SAP Fiori and UI5 is a plus
• experience in Agile development model and Scrum methodologies
• knowledge in DevOps regarding overall conception of BTP: global account, subaccount, space, service marketplace etc. as well as BTP application deployment in Cloud Foundry or Kyma; GitHub & Jenkins pipeline management is plus
• experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• knowledge in LLM, Agentic AI or Machine Learning is a plus
• collaborative mindset with good communication skills allowing you to act as team player who can work closely with others, especially colleagues from different countries
• have business application modularization design experience, SAP application knowledge is plus
• excellent English communication skills in spoken and writte
