We want to onboard a
Senior Backend Developer
for an european public digital transformation project.

You'll join a highly skilled technical team driving backend architecture and API development for enterprise-level applications in a cross-functional, multilingual environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain
    RESTful APIs
    and backend services using
    Java + Spring Boot
    .
  • Collaborate with front-end and DevOps teams to ensure smooth integration and high system performance.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments (
    Docker, Jenkins, GitLab CI
    ).
  • Work on
    data caching (Redis)
    and
    NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
    .
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Engage in an international, collaborative environment with both technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years
    of experience in backend development (Java, Spring Boot).
  • Experience building and maintaining
    RESTful APIs
    .
  • Familiarity with
    Redis, MongoDB, and Docker
    .
  • Exposure to
    Velocity Framework
    or similar templating tools.
  • Solid understanding of
    CI/CD pipelines
    and agile environments.
  • Good communication skills and fluency in
    English (B2+)
    .
  • Native
    Latvian
    (for coordination with HIPO office).
  • Availability to spend an initial period
    onsite in Budapest (Hungary)
    , later switching to a hybrid model.
